This is where you can take a break and dip in the catch basin while you admire the endless flow of water. Near the cave is the 14 meter high Daranak Falls. Travelers should go and check out the Calinawan Cave in Barangay Tandang Kutyo, which once served as a stronghold for the revolutionaries during the Spanish and American days. This is a town that is found at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range.
Each of these municipalities have their own signature attractions - one of which includes a 5,000 year old petroglyph and of course numerous art galleries and rock climbing destination. The Province of Rizal consists of the following municipalities: Angono, Antipolo, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jalajala, Morong, Pililia, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Taytay, and Teresa. The province was named after the Philippines' National Hero, Jose Rizal. This makes Rizal quite accessible and is only but a few hours journey from the Heart of Manila - that is counting traffic jams along EDSA. Manila is found in the northwest and Laguna De Bay is found in the south. It is bordered by the gorgeous Sierra Madre Mountain Range and Quezon Province in the the east, Laguna in the Southwest and Bulacan in the north.

Rizal is known for its rich art, natural wonders and is a place full of Filipino History. One of these places that I would like to feature for today on Sidestrip is the Province of Rizal. Once one takes a moment to get on a bus or a car with family and friends to go on a little sidestrip adventure to one of these places, it is a sure guarantee that your bonds will be a lot stronger and your lives a whole lot richer. The Philippines is rich with natural beauty and most of it is just a few kilometers away from the Metro Manila area.
